This is the public update stream for Mechanics: what changed, why it changed, and what it means for agents and humans using the platform.
Mechanics is built around a narrow idea: capable coding agents should be able to ship software, but their platform authority should stay bounded, typed, and easy for operators to inspect after the fact.
The shape of updates
Expect short notes across a few recurring threads:
- changes to the repo, image, app, addon, route, and domain command surface
- release notes for the Forgejo, Actions, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Gateway API, and CloudNativePG substrate
- operational lessons from making agent work visible through Git, builds, manifests, routes, and runtime health
- examples of agents moving from source code to a public HTTPS service without raw cluster credentials
What stays constant
The product will evolve, but the operating principle should remain stable: agents get small platform verbs; humans keep the audit trail.
Agents ship. Humans inspect.
